Families First is a community based 24 hour transitional bridge housing program for homeless women with dual diagnosis and their children. Serves addicted single head of household mothers with up to two dependent children in their care. The physical structure is a fully furnished quad-plex apartment building that can house up to 7 recovering female addicts and 14 children. Two families share an apartment. Families First is a preservation/reunification program which addresses the issues of the mother’s substance abuse and relapse prevention with the demands of parenting.
